Training on mushroom cultivation and method demonstration of mushroom bed preparation

ICAR-KVK, Mitraniketan, Thiruvananthapuram organized a training programme on mushroom cultivation aimed at promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities through scientific mushroom production.During the session, participants were introduced to various aspects of mushroom farming, including species selection, substrate preparation, spawning techniques, and maintenance practices.

A method demonstration on mushroom bed preparation was also conducted, providing participants with hands-on experience in preparing and managing mushroom beds for optimal growth and yield.The programme helped farmers and aspiring entrepreneurs gain practical knowledge and confidence to start mushroom cultivation as a profitable enterprise.
