PLANT PROTECTION
The Plant protection section of this kvk disseminates new technologies with regard to pest & diseases management of crops. so as to improve the Agricultural production and productivity This division takes up mushroom spawn production,neem Soap & Pseudomonas production.
The different training programmes under the plant protection section are as follows:- 1. Bio control agents, 2. Mushroom cultivation, 3. Integrated Pest and Diseases Management (IPDM)of vegetables, 4. Pest and disease of rice, 5. Pest and diseases of coconut, 6. FFS on Apiculture
Plant protection section takes leading role in the following activities : 1. Development of Mushroom Lab 2. production of Bio control Agents 3. Formation of SHG groups 4. Diagnostic visits On Farm Trials Assessment of different species of milk mushrooms (Calocybe indica and Tricholoma gigantium) Management of Boring and sucking pests in Cow pea Assessment of PGPR for Augmenting yield and management of Bacterial Blight in paddy On going Front Line Demonstrations Management of wild boars using Ecodon
